REGULATIONS KMRS in the discipline "Epidemiology and principles of evidence-based medicine"
The course regulations have been developed in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated January 31, 2005 No. 52, the Ministry of Education and Science order dated January 23, 2004 No. 49 and the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated March 22, 2004 No. 148.
The credit-modular system involves the study of general, special epidemiology, structured into meaningful modules as logically completed parts of the curriculum. The grade for the module is defined as the sum of the assessments of the daily survey of theoretical and practical training and computer testing on the topics that are provided for by the module (including sections of independent work).The training provides for the requirement of 100% attendance at lectures and practical classes.
The discipline rating consists of 200 points, which is 1 module (2 informative modules: 10 lectures, practical lessons - 30 independent - 50).
includes:
- 1st substantive module - general epidemiology and principles of evidence-based medicine (lectures - 4, practical - 14, independent work - 30). The credit is 64 points.
The maximum number of points for a practical lesson is 7, of which 1.0 point is computer control, 6 is an oral answer and practical work.
For the epidemiological analysis - 22 points, of which 2.0 points - computer control, 8 - solving the problem of epidemiological analysis, 12 - control work.
- 2nd substantive module - special epidemiology (lectures - 6, practical lessons - 16, 20 - independent work). The credit is 56 points.
The maximum number of points for a practical lesson is 7, of which 1.0 point is computer control, 6 is an oral answer and practical work.
Epidemiological examination of the outbreak of an infectious disease and registration of an epidemiological map (term paper) - 14 points, of which 2.0 points - computer control, 6 - epidemiological map, 6 - protection of an epidemiological map.
Final modular control:
The final modular control is carried out upon completion of the study of all the topics of the module in the last lesson.
Students who have completed all types of work provided for by the curriculum are allowed to the final control, and during the study of the module they scored at least the minimum number of points.
The form of the final modular control includes control of theoretical and practical training.
The maximum number of points in the final modular control is 80, of which practical training - 30, theoretical - 50.
The final modular control is considered enrolled if the student scored at least 50 points, of which practical training - 20, theoretical - 30.
Assessment:
91% - 100% - 91.5-100.5 points - "5" (according to the ECT A scale)
76% - 90% - 76.5-91.0 points - "4" (on the ECT BC scale)
60% - 75% - 60.0-76.0 points - "3" (according to the ECT DE scale)
59 points and less - "2" (on the ECT FX scale, F).
The system provides additional incentives:
- participation in the Olympiad in epidemiology: for 1 prize + 18 points, for 2 - 16 points, 3 - 14 points to the final mark.
Final certification in the course of epidemiology is carried out by adding points obtained in practical classes for control and coursework and additional ones.
Notes.
Regulations on the 1st round of the Olympiad in epidemiology. Olympiad structure:
- average score for practical and final lessons - maximum score 5;
- computer testing (50 questions) - maximum score 5;
- solving situational tasks "STEP 2" (two tasks) - maximum score 10,
- practical skills - maximum score 5.
The maximum number of points that a student can get in the first round of the Olympiad is 25.
