Attendance policy
The student must attend 100% of practical classes. In case of missing classes, the student must work out the missed class in accordance with the work schedule approved by the department in the presence of the relevant order of the dean.
Assessment policy
When mastering the materials of the module, the student is assigned a maximum of 7-8 points for each practical lesson (the grade is set in the traditional 4-point grading system). The maximum number of points that a student can receive in practical classes during the academic year is 120. A student is admitted to the final module control provided that the requirements of the curriculum are met and if he/she has scored at least 72 points for the current educational activity. The final module control is conducted according to the schedule at the end of the cycle. The grade for the final module control is set in the traditional 4-point grading system with subsequent conversion to points, with a grade of "5" corresponding to 80 points, "4" - 64 points, "3" - 48 points, "2" - 0 points. The final module control is credited to the student if he scored at least 48 out of 80 points. The overall grade for the discipline consists of the sum of the points gained for the current performance and the passing of the PMC. Encouraging points are added to the grade in the discipline - for an individual research project (defense of student research work 12 points, conference presentation 5, poster presentation - 4, abstracts 4 points). The total score in the discipline cannot exceed 200.
Policy on deadlines and retakes
The results of the assessment of modular certification may be subject to appeal. To do this, the applicant must submit an appeal to the director / dean on the day of the certification event or after the announcement of the results of its completion, but no later than the next working day. By order of the director, an appeal commission is created. In case of an unsatisfactory result, the student has the right to retake the final module control twice - the first time to the examiner appointed by the head of the department, the second - to the commission created by the dean. The retake is carried out according to a separate schedule approved by the dean's office. Students who do not appear for the final module control without a valid reason are considered to have received an unsatisfactory grade. Refusal of a student to perform an examination task is certified as an unsatisfactory answer. The student has the right to receive an explanation of the grade received. By the decision of the Appeal Commission, the grade may be changed in case of violations during the certification.
Policy on appealing assessment results
The results of the assessment of modular attestations may be subject to appeal. To do this, the applicant must submit an appeal to the director / dean on the day of the certification event or after the announcement of the results of its completion, but no later than the next working day.
