The purpose of discipline "Infectious diseases " its place in the training of specialist

Teaching the course "Infectious diseases " begins on V course after studying the basic sciences. At 6 year course introduced "Internal medicine: infectious disease." The aim of the course is to improve the quality of the doctor, especially for outpatient department of health. Particular attention is paid to early diagnosis and treatment of patients with prehospital stage in a clinic and at home, giving them first aid.
Expected formation of knowledge and skills, practical skills, providing clinical diagnosis of infectious diseases that often occur, quarantine infections, rational use of laboratory and instrumental methods of examination of patients, the appointment of adequate etiotropic and pathogenetic treatment, emergency care, and conducting primary preventive measures.
Purpose is set on the basis of Annexes B and G education and training program (ETP) training medical specialty pursuant to the power module and its contents are the basis for building a content discipline (SSHE -2003). Goals (final and concrete) are formulated in terms of "professional" for the appropriate taxonomic levels.
The final goal of discipline:
Identify the main clinical symptoms, which form characteristic syndrome of the most common infectious diseases;
Asking a preliminary diagnosis of the most common infectious diseases (syndromal and etiological);
Asking a previous clinical diagnosis, plan prevention and quarantine measures to the most common and especially dangerous diseases;
Interpret patterns and peculiarities of pathological and epidemiological process in various infectious diseases;
Provide clinical and laboratory differential diagnosis of various infectious diseases and infectious diseases with uncommunicable;
Interpret the results of specific diagnostic testing for the presence of combined pathology - infectious and not infectious;
Identify the tactics of the patients with the most common infectious diseases;
Identify tactics hospitalization and isolation of infectious patients;
Diagnose emergency conditions and assist in pre-hospital phase;
Demonstrate awareness of infectious diseases as weapons of mass destruction;
Predict the consequences of infectious diseases to human health.
To demonstrate the ability of medical records in the clinic of infectious diseases.
